Verifying accuracy: round-trip conversion between Hebrew and English
April 22, 2026 · 3 min read
A simple, reliable way to test a keyboard mapping is the 'round trip' check: take Hebrew text, convert it using the English mapping, then convert the result back to Hebrew. If the mapping is accurate, you get back exactly the original sentence — character for character.
This is the test Tiklud's Hebrew–English conversion layer is built on. Because the mapping between the two languages has been verified this way, the result can be trusted even for longer sentences with punctuation and special characters.
